Vomit Snack is a kick ass Thrash/Metal band from Hagerstown,Maryland. I did a trade by mail with a kid recently and he sent me their 17 song demo. i was instantly hooked. They're pretty brutal,and have hilarious songs and intros. I did this interview with bassist Gene Cook a.k.a."Lord Destroyer"on an napster instant message, its kinda short. but you get the point. enjoy.

Could you state your name and your role in the band?
Lord Destroyer and I molest the 4 string and do lead throat shaving on selected tracks
How and when did Vomit Snack form?
we officially formed in 97 but have known each other since mid-late 80s and were in other bands together
What is Vomit Snack all about?
hahaha, havin fun, playin metal, drinkin, insulting...we like to poke fun at everything other people dont find funny
Who came up with the name and is there a specific meaning behind it?
well, its getting real tough these days to come up with a name that no one else has, but I believe it was King Puke that came up with it, just for shock value!!

yeah, hes our 2nd axemaster and original drummer.we have a new drummer

we had to cancel the NJ metalfest this year, but hes learning the songs as fast as he can. hes been drummin for years and its comin along real good
could you tell me about the releases? cause the only one im familiar with is the 17song demo"Thrash Till Death"
called Equal Opportunity Destroyer in 99...we then recorded a 3 song ep of cover songs by the DAYGLO ABORTIONS called Abortion Recipies
are these still available?
and have just completed a 10 song ep that will be available soon as a free download off the web site. Yes they are still available
How is the scene in Maryland?
scene is good here, lots of cool bands. and a good mix of styles
Do you have a most memorable or favorite show that you've played?
nothing stops Metal Heads from getting drunk and head banging in West Virginia

well, actually 2 of our members are from WV, and we practice in WV. HA HA REDNECKS!!

we each write the lyrics usually, its a joint effort
Do you have a favorite Vomit Snack song?(mine is "Shiny happy people getting killed")
of the older songs, Corpse Combustion is my favorite. The new stuff is all pretty rippin but id have to say The Saw Is Family and Dead By Dawn

hahaha, some old drunk guy tryin to fuck with me because I was making fun of Bob Seger and Metallica for covering his song.I dedicated Shiny Happy... to him.

how did you get the name "Lord Destroyer"?
I was in a band for awhile called Mortal Destroyer and needed a new band name, so I made it Lord Destroyer. It used to be Vaginal Discharge haha
