Superhighway Carfire's release "Shell of a Man" is an album I would recommend to anyone who is a fan of Neurosis. The music is slow, dirgy hardcore. Singer Scrappy has a great scream that cuts through the mix like a guillotine. The guitar sound is a perfect mix of trippy fuzz and metal agression. Drummer Dan Ballinger finds a myriad of ways to play a slow tempo without resorting to the standard AC/DC isms. The second track, " Grace", had me hooked. Infernal Racket Records has some of the greatest doom and sludge bands around right now. Go buy this album, or any other release from this label immediately
