When I was first handed this cd for review I was skeptical. Turns out my third grade librarian was
correct. Do not judge a book by it's cover. This album
is clearly a psychedelic rock classic. Strong
musicianship, amazing material, and a crisp production
courtesy of the analogue world known as the year 1979.
For this 26 year old album to not have caught on
sooner is a shame. Maybe this 2005 reissue will do
just that for it. People of the underground have known
about it for years. Supposedly original pressings go
for hundreds of dollars on ebay. Check this cd out if
you like tripped out 70's rock music. And yes, it is
true. This band is still together with the ORIGINAL
lineup. I'm not talking reunion here. I'm saying STILL
together. So if your lucky, maybe you can catch them live!!! |
