When the first track kicked in "Boy and Girl" all I could think of was Grunge revival. This track sounded a lot like Nirvana to me. This isn't a bad thing as I like Nirvana. However by the second track The Pollen slowly trasforms into a groove orientated stoner rock band. These guys come from Minneapolis. Land of large malls and lots of snow. This is a seven song demo that keeps a groove the whole way through. Song's like "Smoke Machine" seem repititious at times; but hey that's what acid rock was all about. Most of the energy is focused into the mood of the track. There is also some punk influeces thrown in here. You can here some Husker Du or Dag Nasty thrown in. All in all these guys are on their way towards something good here. "Rubberchux" is a great stoney jam. I'm sure these cats make a great party band. They may end up breaking out in the near future.
