Let me begin about being a Homer for Neurosis.Point Blank they are the
single most greatest band to ever exist. They top only Black Sabbath as
being
my all time favorite. This band could make a record of them farting into
microphones and I would by it,actually I would by 2 copies,1 would be
cd.2
would be on vinyl(because I'm a pretenious record collector)That's what
I
think about Neurot.
Anyway this review is part 1 in a trilogy.2 and 3 will be Steve Von
Till's
solo record and the Neurosis DVD that I should have my copy this
week.So
here we go...............
This cd is great quality much to my suprise. It was recorded If I'm not
mistaken on their Times Of Grace tour.
The song selection covers 4 records:Enemy of the sun,Through Silver in
Blood,Times Of Grace and Sovereign.
Tracks:
The Doorway-great song to open with
Lost-Instant classic.Best pause and time change ever(anyone who listens
to
Neurot knows what I'm talking about)
An Offering-Very slow and well thought out
Away-Beautifully played,very mood driven
Locust Star-The power of this song is so inspiring
Times of Grace-This version sounds exactly like the record.Amazing!
I could go on all day but I won't.The thing about audio is that it
isn't
live.To see Neurosis in person is to understand Neurot as a collective.
Great Bootleg.
