Here comes another great record from the folks at Traktor7 records. I want to know how the South got planted so well into these Yankees? Lamont is a jet fueled rock band, with influeces from Southern Rock, Punk, Stoner and Rockabily these guys know how to kick ass. The title "Thunder Boogie" describes the feel of this record exactly. This makes me want to got down to S-Mart and purchase a shotgun. Each of these beer swilling anthems keep you moving. You can here many influences. Some of the more known being: The Super Suckers, The New Bomb Turks and Clutch. Very riffy and energetic rock. The music is rock solid all the way through. Lamont has a mission and they are delivering it through rock. They have even landed a track on the new Tony Hawk's Underground game. With their catchy jams they will have you Seeing Red all day long. The title track "Thunder Boogie" makes some good use of the cowbell the way it was meant to be. This could easily be the soundtrack to your next bar room brawl. The art work on the digipack is awesome. Trailor trash, death and booze. These are the things dreams are made of people. So on your way to the liquor store make sure you stop off at your local record shop to grab this record.
