Here comes a release from one of PA's finest doom bands. I remember playing shows with these guys before the complete metamorphasis when they were Whoreacts. They were a little more grind then. Inversion has labled themselves as Black Crust, a fushion of doom, punk and hardcore. The demo begins with the song Disbeleif. A nice mid paced track with political overtones, trippy sequencers and nice stoney guitars. They progress into the track KxBx. This song is a little more hardcore than anything I've heard them do. Choppy guitars and screamy vocals. It breaks into a nice melodic chorus with keyboard layered over top. The breakdowns in this song are nice and heavy. Inversion really hits on a lot of diiferent styles of metal with this song. The final track slouch takes us into yet another realm of Inversion. This track is more experimental with lots of noise ridden sequences and spaced out guitar parts. Some what of a Neurosis type feel. They have a noisy part in the song that goes on for over 3:00 min. The guitars and drums filter back in to slowly take us out of the track. This is my favorite realese by these guys to date. I hope they continue to produce that evil black krust for the world to enjoy.
