Gonna make this review as short n' sweet as I can. I was down in Arkansas hangin with my good friend Reid from Rwake. He had just picked me up from the airport when we were driving down the road. Reid says, "check out this band High on Fire, best shit out there right now" Yea right I'm thinking. He slaps the tape in the deck and damn me to hell cause he may be correct. Next thing I know my ears are swamped in fuzzed out goodness. But this time it's different then your typical stoner shit. I'm not sure what bands have influenced these guys, but they sound less like Sabbath and more like Motorhead if Motorhead sounded like Sabbath. Sounds confusing I know, but buy it and you will see what I mean. If you like your stoner/doom shit on the heavy side then check this band out.
