I gotta say folks when I first saw this disc I didn't know what to expect. Looking at the disc art it's hard to tell what you are getting into. I was expecting more along the lines of Death Metal. However what I got was just some kick ass metal. These guys come from the UK. Heavy doesn't begin to decribe them. Gilla Bruja aren't a very technical band but they deliver in a big way. The riffs are just so godamn heavy. Almost like Crow Bar or Iron Monkey. The vocals are completely insane. Along the lines of Eye Hate God. It sounds like Paul March should loose his vocal chords with every lyric. They layer all kinds of sound effects in with the music giving it an idustrial feel in the background. The tuning is very low and reminds me or "Roots" era Sepultura. This is a pretty straight forward in your face album. Ripping the skin from the bone from beginning to end. For those of you Death Metal elitist you may stray. However the rest of the metal community will get eaten up by this.
