Free Verse, cool band, cool tunes. I really liked their 2 song cd i recieved about a year ago. This cd is really good. I can tell they have really grown musically on this release. The first song "Surface" rocks, 1:04 into the song comes an awesome music transition, listen to the drum beat. 2:00 into the song, it speeds up a bit, 2:19 into the song comes and sick distorted scream then goes into the cool transition i mentioned earlier, and theres some cool clean singing the whole time behind that part . Next song is "End of Choice" 1:16 into the song comes some crazy high pitched vocals that actually kinda reminds me of something i'd hear in a Cradle of Filth album. After that is a really cool guitar riff part that comes in at the 1:54 mark. I'm only on the 2nd song and i'm tottally diggin this disc. I also want to add the clean vocal parts are done very well. Song 3 "Blame" rocks, period. Most likely the my favorite song on the cd. Song 4 "Invisible Tommorow" starts off with a fuzzed out guitar note that starts rockin straight into the song. Again, some clean vocals that sound great. The thing i think is real cool, is how they do the clean vocals, they're underneath some harsh screaming type vocals. I usually only like screaming and yelling, but they pull it off. The last two songs "Speed Driving" and "Sinking Into The Shadows", are very good, like the rest of the this release. There is 6 songs in a little over 20minutes. Again, this band has really grown on this cd since the last cd i've heard. The last one was more punk rock, this one still has a little bit of a punk rock sound. But a more mature, musical punk sound. This is without a doubt one of my favorite cds i've got for review recently.
