How and When did EXP form?
Nico - E.X.P. got a human being line up since the late 1998. In 4 years E.X.P. has joined different musicians many time. Actually E.X.P. members are: Nico Cascino (gt), Luca Cascino (bs), Federico Buffi (dr), Jacopo Bimbi (vc), Luca Tanzini (videos, teremine). After all this time, just me and my bro Luca we are still in the band since the beginnings. This story is the story of a mankind piece crossing two millemniums in Siena (a very ancient place in the middle part of Italy). The real story of E.X.P. nobody’s able to tell of. Why does E.X.P. exist? How did it happen? Nobody knows. I just can say E.X.P. seems a sort of a massive hallucination generating visions of love, unity between bodys and minds. sexual satisfaction at its best.
What's new with the band? How's the new cd coming?
Nico - After Pachamama, Federico Buffi and Luca Tanzini joined the band. The first one on drums (my bro Luca hits drums on Pachamama), the second one on teremine and video performances on stage (Luca Tanzini released videoclips for Nebula and Glucifer websites, right now). At the moment we’re jamming new stuff at our practice space. New songs are defenetely much more acid, sweet and r’n’r than ever. They’ll be featured in a concept album. The full lenght will sound like one long song running. We’re preparing a very intensive big trip across alchemical wisdom and far beyond universe experiences.
Music and arrangements keep on changing day by day, so now it’s very difficult to realize how it’ll sound like. We’ll finally enter studio in a month and an half. The time to chek it out it will come soon..
What's the real meaning behind the term EXP?
Nico - All the meanings are good to realize it means nothing. E.X.P. is a word it does workin’ a mantra. Eachone will improve his power of attraction just repeating it on and on (EXPEXPEXPEXP...). Later, any human being who did it, he will feel everybody and everything is standing as one.
What's all the Fuzz about?
Nico - Fuzz is a pedal, when i swith it on all around starts to vibrate. It’s the E.X.P. sound into its clearest representation for planet Earth.
What EXP releases are currently available?
Nico - Just Pachamama is still available. You can get it in attachment to Vincebus Eruptum mag issue # 7 at tons of stoner rock web shops and at: www.vinylmagic3.it . It’s also available at E.X.P.’s Operative Fuzz Center: www.expsupafuzz.com All previous releases are sold out.
How is the music scene in Italy? are there many shows?, bands?
Nico - Ok, no musical scene exists in Italy for italian acid r’n’r. There’re very few gigs and it’s very difficul to play live. Italian press is just interested in foreign bands. There’re several good bands, E.X.P. keeps in touch with them, such like with: OJM, Vortice Cremisi, Ufomammut, Skywise, TAF...
What are your thoughts on God?
Nico - Theology? ...In my opinion god is each one who cares in life power. It means we everybody are able to be one god in a while, in a day, in a life: We just need to choose it.
What are your thoughts on Weed?
Nico - When i think of weed, first of all, i think of several cool whiles i spent with my friends, lovers, my guitar... in a second time i think i don’t need it to be happy, but it’s defenetely cool to smoke it...at the end i gotta think of all the idiots and suckers they spend all their time to forbidden a pot., while they keep on producing and selling chemical shit to cure stress and sickness like that..
Favorite movie?
Nico - Bladerunner and all the movies produced by my mind in 29 years of a life.
Favorite food?
Nico - Defenetely stick.

Nico - First of all, ultramegathanx for Dj (it’s a must). I hope anybody could listen to Pachamama and get its personal joy (joint?!!?) from it. One million xxxx to all the girls reading (you defenetely are the best manifestation of life on this planet!).
