Let my start this review by saying that Tom Denney is an Artistic Genius! The shit he does in this video Zine is simply Amazing. I'm glad to have his art in the Artwork section of this web-zine. I've watched this video 3 times already. The first time, i sat back, ashed my Newport, and started to blaze with my new hookah. With one hose sealed off, cause i'm doing this solo. After all i would like to watch this with a clear mind and perception. Continue smoking for about 10minutes, now it's time. Hit play on the remote, turn to Stereo volume up, now i'm ready. This Zine starts off with a short intro, with about 200 pictures flashing on the screen with some killer sludge playing. What i missed visually, i'm sure my sub-conscious picked it up.
First up is a BURRIED AT SEA video "Dawn of Relentless Decay." This Video was actually created by Tom Denney. The song itself is some of the heaviest, most sickest SLUDGE i've heard in awhile. The video visuals are awesome. Pics of what looks to be the Industrial Revolution. After that comes an Interview with the singer of SOURVIEN. Where they discuss the signing to Southern Lord,new record and more. This is only part of the Interview. Then comes a SOURVEIN video for "SeamerChant" which is Directed by Tom Denney. There are some really tripped out visual effects in this video. Next up comes MEATJACK's video for "Lost" i never get sick of watching that video, i have it on the MEATJACK "Skin" VHS release. If you've never seen a MEATJACK video, then you must!! What i think the song "Lost" means is - we are Lost as Human Beings, though i could be wrong. Not sure what the band means by the song, but thats my thoughts on it. The video shows all kinds of sick shit, like lots of dead bodies, executions, war, bombs, planet earth, and a beating heart. After that video comes a CONVERGE video for "Lowest Common" which is kinda short, but very decent. I think Tom had a hand in this video also. Now back to the SOURVEIN interview, where they discuss more on Southern Lord. After the interview there is some live footage of SOURVEIN playing "Weasy" live in Nola. The coolest part is when their singer pours beer all over his head. Next is a CROWBAR video for "Planets Collide" created by Tom Denney. Some psychedelic cosmic space stuff going on here, plus there's some live footage of CROWBAR in this video. After CROWBAR comes a CUMDUMPSTER video for the song "Markhejnar." There's all kinds of crazy shit in this video, such as old twisted cartoons, old black and white strange video footage, and people puking. Now back to the SOURVEIN interview, where they discuss playing live. Then more SOURVEIN live footage. Then part of a space alien - baby diaper commercial. Some closing credits, then a preview of DOOMED NATION episode 2...WEEDEATER. I thought it was over but just as the screen turns blue, it quickly comes back, there's more!
Some anal action(female of course) while an EHG tune plays along in the background. Then there is a sick animation type thing with JIMMY BOWER having turds coming out of his mouth, but then it says on the screen "Jimmy Bower Rules!!!" Wait..i hear some RWAKE i look up with bloodshot sore eyes at the screen. It's RWAKE!!! They're gonna be in episode 3!! I can't wait for that!! Next there's some Tits and Ass. Damn, allot of these chicks are fine as hell. Especially the one that looks like a NUN. Some more animations, and some more Fucking. This video Zine rules, nah it REIGNS!! Now onto the bonus shit..FISTFUL of METAL Video Zine. There is a really cool EYEHATEGOD Interview promoting "DopeSick", where they talk about some very interesting shit. Like blowing up Goats,Killing Puppies,Drinking Spit. Now comes something very cool, a DEATH video for "Lack of Comprehension" RIP Chuck. Now back to the EHG interview. After the interview is a MOTORHEAD Video for "Sacrifice." Well that looks like the end of this fine piece of Art. It ended up being about 60 minutes long. I had my JizzRag ready to wipe off any SLUDGE that might have been oozing out of VCR, but to my disappointment there was none. Receiving stuff like this for review makes doing Bushmado Web-Zine worth while. I will enjoy this over and over.
