BUILT UPON FRUSTRATION, have been Resurrected. They now have bassist Josh Seanor from THROUGH THE SHADOWS(rip) and Eric Klinger from PRO-PAIN on guitar and vocals. Who also engineered,mixed and mastered this cd. And Diggums from NO RETREAT and the first B.U.F. And original vocalist Jason Hominsky. And Keith HUrka on drums. I've been anticipating this cd ever since i heard the free two song B.U.F. demo i heard with the resurrected lineup. Though i think it might have been a drum machine on the demo. The first song "The rest of the world" starts off with a very brutal beatdown type riff, and Jason's vocals sound hard as hell. Track Four "Personal Games for Personal Gain" begins with a very METAL Killswitch Engage type riff. Though the one riff reminds me of Killswitch, there are NO wussy Killswitch Engage clean singing parts. Just harsh, brutal, loud hardcore vocals. followed by the screaming vocals saying "Your Life Ends Now" awesome. This song was also on the Steel City Agression 5 compilation. "Redemption" is an all out metal attack. Four minutes of killer Metal. Next there is a new version of "Nothing" which sounds better than the one i heard on the two song demo. Also on this song and most of the others there is some great guitar harmonics. oh yeah, TURN MY MOTHERFUCKIN BACK! i'm almost positive this was on the Low Life Crew cd, with the first B.U.F. I always have dug this song. I can't wait to see em play it live. In my opinion this album is gonna make these guys. This is One of the best Hardcore Releases of 2003, no doubt. - - DJ Bushmado
