Autopsy Commission
Beneath Contempt

Dude! This is a demo? This release from Denver’s Autopsy Commission is easily the most professional looking and sounding demo I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe that this didn’t come from some label. The Production is crystal clear, with perfect separation between instruments. The layout is stunning. These cats must have spent a fortune on this.

Musically, this is a standard rehash of Haunted style thrash. I’m not knocking it at all, though. The music is well written, executed crisply, and just plain fun. It just isn’t all that original. The guitarist is very capable, the drummer is talented, as is the bassist, and the vocalist , (Donovan Breazeale ,who guests on Cephalic Carnage’s new disc, “Lucid Interval”) slays!

Lyrically, I’m not sure what’s going on, but given the song titles, (ie. “Forward to Butchery” and “Eaters of the Dead (part 2 of 3)” ), I can imagine there isn’t anything new or all that interesting there. All that is moot, though, because I just love the delivery!

Fans of The Haunted, Witchery, and At The Gates need to check this out. These fellas will be signed soon.
